forest cabin

A private and peaceful nature retreat

Some homes make your jaw drop before you've even stepped inside. The Forest Cabin is one of them. Tucked into the trees in Neskowin, it's all modern lines, a calm and minimalist interior, and walls of glass that bring the forest inside and give the whole place a treehouse feel. A vacation home this distinctive deserves an online listing that does its strengths justice, and gets it in front of the right traveler.

The homeowner already understood good hosting; he was a Superhost for his home in Portland. But when a move across the country meant he could no longer run the cabin himself, he needed someone he trusted to take it from a finished house to a working listing. A home this distinctive deserves a listing that does it justice and puts it in front of the right travelers, and that's where we came in. We shaped the launch around how guests actually search, choose, and remember a stay. The result was a listing that booked steadily, held a premium rate, and earned reviews that built on one another from the start.

Key interventions

Readied the home for its first guest, down to every last detail.

Before a single booking went live, we walked the whole cabin the way a guest would move through it. We stocked it with everything a household actually reaches for, and put the finishing touches in place so the very first stay felt complete and considered. First reviews set the trajectory for everything that follows, so day one had to be right.

Built a listing designed to be found and booked.

We oversaw the photography so the architecture and the forest setting carried through the images, then wrote and positioned the listing for the guests most likely to love the cabin and pay for it. A home this distinctive deserves a listing that does its strengths justice and gets it in front of the right traveler.

Designed the guest experience.

The guidebook, arrival guide, and house rules are the quiet machinery behind how a stay feels and how it gets reviewed. We built them to anticipate questions before guests think to ask, so the experience runs smoothly from the moment they arrive.

Established the operational foundation so the quality holds every stay.

A consistently high rating comes down to the systems running underneath every booking. We put the operational backbone in place, including cleaning and maintenance standards and a clean turnover workflow, so the cabin runs the same on the hundredth stay as the first.

Outcome

Since launch, the Forest Cabin has hosted at least a couple hundred stays and earned 70 reviews at a 4.97 rating. Airbnb counts it among its most-loved homes, in the top 5% on the platform, and in Neskowin it has become one of the top-performing homes on the coast. It's become a fast favorite that fills its calendar back to back, drawing people who travel from across the country and overseas to spend honeymoons and milestone trips there.

We love what the reviews keep coming back to: the calm of the space, the light, the feeling of being up in the trees. The owner built a home worth writing about. Our part was making sure the right guests found it, booked it, and had a stay worth those words, over and over again.
